Although rebuilt painstakingly after Hurricane Dennis to remain on
display and originally constructed on Cape St. George by Edward Bowden
in 1848, the St. George Island Lighthouse is only one of the wonderful
attractions to be found exploring the Big Bend Scenic Byway in North
Florida. The other, according to guests is the Best Western Wakulla Inn
located in the nearby city of Crawfordville, Florida.
“The management does an absolutely amazing job so hats off to them,” stated guest SP of Tallahassee, Florida. “The rooms are very clean and spacey. All the amenities included such as the exercise room is excellent, it's like going to an actual gym, just a miniature version! The pool is beautiful and clean as well, and the breakfast was outstanding!”
Whether one is visiting Wakulla Springs State Park, exploring St. George Island, visiting the St Marks National Wildlife Refuge or have come for the Wakulla Fishing, there is something for the Eco-tourist in everyone. And their day will begin with a complimentary full hot breakfast served in the dining room overlooking the hotel's charming courtyard.
Customer care and attention is a top priority. Rooms offer cable television with HBO®, high-speed Internet access, a microwave and refrigerator. Guests may also avail themselves of use of an outdoor swimming pool, an exercise room, meeting facilities and a business center.
“VERY Clean- from the parking lot to the lobby to your room - it is CLEAN,” related guest Tamalyn M. of Daytona Beach, Florida. “Beds are super comfortable; Staff is professional and will answer any questions for you about the area with knowledge. The breakfast is adequate (Sausage gravy is really good and I am picky about my sausage gravy!) Well maintained and definitely the best choice if you are in the area.”
