Latest Audio Dedupe Release Finds Similar And Duplicate Songs By Title, Album And Artist - Organize Audio Libraries And Save Valuable Disk Space.

24, February 2015: Unlike standard duplicate file finders Audio Dedupe can find similar and duplicate songs regardless of the file format. It performs true audio analysis and “Listens” to the songs in order to find similarities. Exact duplicates or even remixes of the same song stored in different file formats will be easily recognized and grouped together. The tool supports plenty of file formats and will put an end to the mess in audio collections, iTunes, iPod, iPad, iPhone or other mp3 player devices. Here are some of the most popular supported file formats: MP3, MP2, MP1, MPA, WAV, OGG, AIFF, AAC, MP4, FLAC, AC3, WavPack (WV), Musepack (MPC), Windows Media Audio (WMA) and many more.

Version 3.7.0.1 provides three new scan methods - by ID3 Title, Album and Artist. While the tool still recognizes similar audio files without the need of ID3 tags these new scan methods may come handy in many situations. For example DRM or FairPlay protected files that can not be played by external applications like Apple's AAC, M4P and others can now be processed using their ID3 tags.

Getting rid of duplicates by finding similar ID3 Tile tags is just one of the many purposes that the application can be used for. Finding all songs from an album by searching of the Album tag or grouping all the albums by searching by Artist may come really handy when organizing an audio collection.
